Finished this afternoon! Of all the things I’ve knitted, this is definitely my favorite. Its the first sweater ever created with yarn from The Painted Sheep – that alone is significant. Its been an amazing creative process for me, from choosing the button to the yarn selection to creating the colorway to dyeing the yarn to knitting and finishing. I’m thrilled with how it came out! Can’t tell you how GREAT it feels to be wearing a sweater made from my yarns!
So the particulars:
- Yarn: The Painted Sheep’s Alpaca Handpaint, about 5 skeins in Woodrose
- Pattern: Mr. Greenjeans
- Needles: US 7 and 5 Circulars, 16 inch, 32″ and 48″
- Button: hand made from Birch Mountain Pottery
- Started: December 21, 2008, finished March 1, 2009
More details on my Ravelry project page.
Mr. Greenjeans and I are off – time for a latte!

It looks great! The colours are really pretty, and very well distributed. You did a fabulous job, both in the dyeing and the knitting!
Ooh, yay! It came out great! I think the color distribution is just right too.
