A sure sign that summer is nearly upon us – the Coventry Regional Farmer’s Market opens on Sunday. The market returns with its usual assortment of wonderful local things – produce, baked goods, artisans and entertainment and a little something new: String Thing.

A weekly SnB-style gathering of fiber folks – what a perfect addition to the Market! The group will meet outside of the gift barn, near the upper field. There’s more details posted on this Ravelry thread.
I plan on being there – right after I’ve devoured my first Shroom of the season from Lizzie’s and picked up my fresh bread and a chocolate croissant, a jar of marinated mushrooms, the first strawberries of the season and whatever other wonderful local produce is on hand. Look for me, my knitting and that contented smile from being in one of my happy places…
And don’t forget – the last Nutmeg Spinner’s Guild Meeting of the year is on Saturday at Asnuntuck. More details later this week. Hope to see you there!
