For a whole lot of reasons, the blogging thing was not happening yesterday.  So you get WIPs on Thursday, plus a few other things.

This was not quite the productive knitting week that I had hoped for.  I didn’t touch Blankie, unfortunately.  I did make decent progress on the Malabrigo sock, turning the heel and starting on the cuff.  At this point, I’m inclined to hurry up and finish that one before leaving for San Francisco on the 21st – since I’d like to bring a new sock project.  Seven inches of cuff in 10 days seems doable.  Allegoro is plodding along.  At this point, I’m one row from the first set of decreases.  Its killing me that I’m so close but I have so much to do that I can’t pick it up in this moment.  Tonight, I will squeak out that last row and the decrease row before bed.  No pictures this week because I’m too lazy/busy.

The reason I’m so busy?  I’m teaching a 2 day dye workshop in Rhode Island this weekend.  Its a group of spinners from the Rhode Island Guild who are bringing me out – 25 of them in fact.  It promises to be a great weekend of dyeing and spinning.  And bonus, I’m staying on a sheep farm, complete with lambs.  I can’t wait!  So, I’ve have fiber to dole out, yarn to skein off, dyes to make, handouts to prepare, samples to pack, clothes to pack and a house to clean up (must be clean for the cat sitter), among other assorted stuff.   I can’t wait to leave the house tomorrow afternoon – before I head to the farm, I’m going to poke around Mystic for a bit and have dinner with my brother and favorite 3 year old.  It is the makings for a fantastic escape from incredibly chaotic life.  I promise to take lots and lots of pictures and do a full post early next week.

A side note – I was asked to “bring the goods” so my Etsy shop will be back down from Friday morning to early next week.

Lastly, I have to show you this: 100_3321 A stuffed version of my logo – he just needs painting.  He was a gift from Paula.  This little sheep, Paula and my other amazing friends brightened a really tough day yesterday.  Yet again, I am reminded of how lucky I am.

Not sure if I’ll post again before my weekend away, or whether or not I’ll have innernets where I’ll be.  I’ll be back after the weekend with a full report of all things sheepy, painted and otherwise.
